What is Adliberum Engine?
The Adliberum Engine (1.1.61.X) was an ambitious project which was aimed to turn stories into interactive worlds, scenarios and games. A text heavy engine that paid homage to the classic text adventure experience focusing heavily on 'data' whilst offering you full control and freedom.

This is pretty damn cool.
So, I got this in the racial justice and equality bundle and is there a manual for this? I have no idea what I'm doing!
Hi, it actually wasn't meant to end up in the bundle, the links went all awry and this got added by accident, its no longer in development (as support for the language it was written is was stopped)
However I am looking at potentially open-sourcing it in the future / rewriting it.

If you get around to recreating (or open-sourcing) it, I would like to be notified. I hope that "Follow" is sufficient to let me do this? (I'm not that familiar with this site.) I may not have much time to play text adventures these days, but they do fill me with nostalgia, and I love that people are still developing engines to make them faster and easier than anything I could've done back when I got started programming.
P.S. Look up Inform 7; it's an incredible engine based on human-readable code.
What language was it written in?
I started something similar in C# .NET with XNA several years ago, that I dropped when XNA went down the tubes.
It was written in Construct 2. Mammoth task to convert to construct 3 sadly otherwise I would, as it contains plugins that need to be replaced / removed some of which are pretty embedded :|
Looks like this doesn't run in macOS Catalina. Is there any chance for a fix?
Anything specific causing it not to run? I only have access to PCs, although given me a thought to open source it entirely though as unfortunately development was put on indefinite hold.
I’m not entirely sure. It doesn’t give me any error aside from a generic ”The application could not be opened.” It may have to do with Catalina getting rid of 32-bit support but not sure.
Ah yeah sounds like that could be why, will see what I can do.
Oh wait ok so I made progress. I was experiencing the same issue with Catlateral Damage, and the dev suggested I try extracting from the zip using "The Unarchiver" instead of the built-in archive utility, and that worked! I tried it with ADLENGINE and it now recognizes it as runnable app, but it gives me a new error when I try to run. Looks like it's crashing. Added the crash logs to a pastebin:

I'm pretty sure the app needs to be 64 bit to work without snags if you're using MacOS Catalina.
